Whether you entrust a single piece of furniture or all of your household effects into our care for transportation, we will always be able to provide the appropriate vehicle with the right team.
For us, a relocation starts at the consultation and planning stage. ny home containing more than three separate rooms will be viewed by one of our relocation consultants. his is the only way we can be sure to prepare a quotation to meet your budget. Of course, this visit is non-binding and free of any charge to you.
If your newly built home is not ready for you to move in on time, or if you have items of furniture that you cannot use right now, we will also be happy to help with our furniture storage warehouse.
Packing
Good, fit-for-purpose packing of your household effects is an absolute must for a problem-free, efficient relocation. If the relocation is taking place in Switzerland or within Europe, the furniture is usually packed in transport covers, but the household effects have to be fully packed in suitable boxes (see packing materials). This speeds up the work of our removal men when they are loading and unloading.
We use packers who have been trained on courses run by the Swiss Road Transport Association, ASTAG, and have very extensive practical experience of this work. Packers with foreign language skills (in English, French or Italian) are also available by request.
Dismantling and re-assembly
Our way of life means that our homes contain furnishings that are valuable, beautiful and large. This type of furniture has to be dismantled for relocation and re-assembled in its new home.
Sometimes, minor adjustments may even have to be made to a piece of furniture so that it can be set up in the new location.
Our furniture fitters are familiar with all the conventional furnishing systems and their quirks. They can also carry out simple on-site repairs on any damage that may, for example, have been caused by your children.
Transportation
Above 3.5 tonnes, all of our vehicles are equipped with air suspension. The sizes of our vehicles are well spread, allowing us to offer an appropriate vehicle from our fleet for your particular relocation.
We can bypass narrow staircases or long removal routes by using our furniture elevators. This saves a massive amount of time and avoids damage to stairwell and furniture. Scratched furniture belongs in the past.
During your relocation assignment, we will use experienced furniture transportation staff to move your household effects with professional skill. We pack each and every item of furniture in transport blankets. We are also able to handle aquariums and plants correctly, without any difficulties.
